Evangelos Petropoulos

Evangelos Petropoulos is a Technical Specialist at Stantec since November 2022, and has been actively engaged with British Water since May 2020, serving as Convener and Vice Convener of the Wastewater Treatment Plant Focus Group. At Newcastle University, Evangelos has held roles as an External Associate since August 2018, providing consultation on waste to energy projects and pilot plant design, alongside previous positions as a Post Doctoral Research Fellow and Marie Curie Research Fellow focusing on anaerobic treatment processes. Prior experience includes a role as Technical Director at Premier Tech Water and Environment - UK, managing water treatment project specifications and product development. Evangelos began a career in civil and environmental engineering, holding positions in wastewater treatment engineering and environmental assessments, complemented by advanced degrees including a PhD in Environmental Engineering from Newcastle University.
