Michael Johnson currently serves as Senior Vice President and Energy Transition Strategic Growth Manager at Stantec, where responsibilities encompass advancing a $300 million global Energy Transition consulting practice focusing on modernizing energy systems and reducing carbon emissions for utility, energy, and industrial clients. Previous roles include Vice President and Power Sector Manager at Kleinfelder, leading a nationally recognized Power Business Unit and overseeing environmental and engineering solutions for power transmission and substation projects. Additional experience includes senior management positions at Harding Lawson Associates and serving as a Law Clerk for the California Department of Fish and Wildlife. Michael Johnson obtained a Juris Doctorate in Environmental Law from the University of the Pacific - McGeorge School of Law and holds an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, along with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Biogeography and Ecology from UCLA.
