Michael McWhirter

Michael McWhirter currently serves as the Regional Business Manager for US East Community Development at Stantec, where responsibilities include leading efforts in planning, urban design, and engineering to create resilient communities. Prior experience includes roles as Vice President at Stantec overseeing major international projects, Senior Project Manager and Commercial Manager at MWH, and Senior Water and Sanitation Program Manager at the American Red Cross, managing significant water treatment and sanitation programs. Michael's engineering expertise is rooted in a Bachelor of Engineering (First Class Honours) in Chemical and Process Engineering from the University of Canterbury, complemented by research experience as a Junior Research Fellow at the University of Otago.
