Yiran Tong

Yiran Tong, Ph.D., EIT, is a Water/Wastewater Engineer at Stantec since February 2020, with a strong background in environmental engineering research and consulting. Previous roles include Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, where projects focused on the natural attenuation of nitro explosives in groundwater and the effects of neonicotinoid insecticides on ecosystems. Yiran also served as a Graduate Research Assistant at Marquette University, conducting research on emerging organic contaminants and developing adsorbents for nutrient recovery. Additional experience includes an EHS Specialist role at China Lucky Film Group Corporation and internships in wastewater treatment and engineering processes. Yiran holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering Technology from Marquette University, a Master's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and a Bachelor's degree from East China University of Science and Technology.
