Orville Cummings

Orville Cummings is a seasoned mechanical engineer with extensive experience in various engineering roles. Currently serving as a mechanical engineer at Stanwell Corporation Limited since January 2017, Orville specializes in mills and coal handling plants. Prior to this, Orville worked at Rio Tinto Alcan as a reliability engineer, focusing on materials handling and maintenance strategies to enhance equipment reliability from 2011 to December 2016. Previous positions also include senior mechanical engineer at Caribbean Cement Company Ltd., where responsibilities included commissioning a new mill and maintaining various cement production equipment, and senior reliability engineer at Alcoa, overseeing calcination and powerhouse reliability. Orville's career began at Jamaica Public Service Company Limited as a mechanical engineer, following a solid educational background in mechanical engineering, which includes a Bachelor of Science from the University of the West Indies and a Diploma from the University of Technology.
