Conor Mlacak

Conor Mlacak is an accomplished technology executive with extensive experience in various leadership roles. Currently serving as Chief Information Officer at Staples Canada since October 2025, Conor previously held the position of Vice President of Technology Solutions at Empire Company Limited, where responsibilities included managing a $200M+ budget and leading a team of 250. At Loblaw Companies Limited, Conor advanced through multiple vice president roles, driving technology strategies and governance with substantial budgetary oversight, including a $300M CapEx and $500M OpEx across various technology verticals. Earlier career experience includes a partnership at Deloitte Canada, where Conor led the Agile Transformation National practice, and a consulting manager role focusing on large program delivery. Conor holds a BASc in Systems Design Engineering from the University of Waterloo and has furthered education at the University of Vienna.
