George Efietzidis

George Efietzidis has extensive experience in freight derivatives trading and risk management, currently serving as a Freight Derivatives (FFA) Trader at Star Bulk since October 2019. Prior to this role, George worked at SRH Marine SAIT where responsibilities included setting up a new derivatives trading desk and developing an algorithmic trading strategy. Previous positions at Star Bulk involved trading FFAs and supporting senior management in risk management initiatives. George's career also includes roles in treasury dealing at Piraeus Bank and an internship in investment banking at EFG Telesis Finance. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Finance from Imperial Business School and a Bachelor’s degree in Financial Economics from the University of Essex.
