Mark Joubert

Mark Joubert is an experienced maritime professional with a career spanning over two decades in shipping operations and management. Currently serving as General Manager and Head of Operations at Star Bulk since November 2024, Mark has previously held key positions at Eagle Bulk Shipping Inc. as Head of Operations for Singapore, and as Director of Operations at Oldendorff Carriers GmbH & Co., overseeing vessel operations and implementing strategic initiatives across the Pacific region. Mark's background includes roles in operations management at Fortescue Metals Group and various shipping companies, as well as marine surveying early in the career. Mark holds a degree in Maritime Studies from Durban University of Technology and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Ship Brokers.
