Melissa Meehan

Melissa Meehan is an experienced journalist with a diverse background in media and communications. Since May 2018, Melissa has served as the editorial coordinator for Noosa Today at Star News Group, while also contributing stories to Yarra Ranges Kids and Knox Monash Kids magazines. Prior experience includes working at the Australian Associated Press as a journalist and a six-month secondment as a digital reporter at The Herald-Sun. Melissa has held editorial roles, including editor at Mail Newspaper Group, managing multiple weekly publications and magazines, and has significant experience in freelance writing. An early career began as a cadet journalist/photojournalist, complemented by earlier roles in customer service. Educational qualifications include a postgraduate degree in journalism and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Studies, both from La Trobe University.
