Gary Koe has over 30 years of work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Gary is currently the VP and Head of Technical Operations at Star Therapeutics since November 2019. Prior to that, they worked as the Executive Director of Technical Operations at Aravive, Inc. from January 2015 to October 2019. From 2006 to 2014, Gary held the position of VP of Technical Operations at Revance Therapeutics. Before that, they served as the Director of Pharmaceutics and Quality Control at Valentis from 1996 to 2006. Gary began their career as a Scientist at Arris Pharmaceutical from 1994 to 1996. Gary also worked as a Senior Ferm Operator/Pharm R&D at Genentech from 1987 to 1989.
Gary Koe has a strong education history in the field of Chemical Engineering. Gary attended the University of California, Davis from 1982 to 1987, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemical Engineering. Following this, they pursued further education at UCLA from 1990 to 1994, earning a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering.
