Erica Pearson

Erica Pearson is an experienced journalist currently serving as a Features Reporter at Star Tribune since July 2018, focusing on women's issues. Previously, Erica worked as a Freelance Journalist from 2017 to July 2018, editing breaking news and features for Oxygen.com. Prior to that, experience includes seven years at New York Daily News, where roles ranged from Assistant City Desk Editor to Immigration and immigrant communities beat writer, along with General Assignment Reporter. Earlier positions include News Editor at amNewYork and Reporter, writer, and editor at Gotham Gazette, where notable work earned recognition with a 2002 Online Journalism Award. Erica holds a Master’s degree in Journalism from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature from Macalester College.
