Mark Dobson

Mark Dobson has a diverse work experience spanning from 1998 to 2018. Mark started as a Customer Assistant at Focus Do It All, where they worked as a sales assistant and cashier. Mark also provided telephone assistance and managed phone orders. Mark then joined Devon County Council, initially as a Payroll Assistant, responsible for collecting and processing payroll data for school staff. Mark later worked as a Functional Analysis Officer, analyzing new software based on Oracle.

Following their time at Devon County Council, Mark worked as an Administrative Assistant - Marketing and Lettings at Sanctuary Group. Mark'sresponsibilities included handling applications for public housing, liaising with clients, social services, and local authorities, and managing emails, phone calls, and correspondence.

Mark later transitioned into the field of translation and linguistics. Mark worked at Intrawelt as a Translator and Reviser, translating texts from Italian to English and revising commercial, financial, technical, and advertising translations. Mark then joined Omnia S.r.l. as a Translator and Revisor, translating and revising marketing materials, automotive manuals, presentations, and speeches.

Most recently, Mark worked at STAR7 as a Linguist - Global Content: Quality & Language. Mark'stasks included translating, linguistic revision, and evaluating translations from Italian to English for marketing, press releases, digital content, and corporate materials. Mark also performed quality assurance, editing, copywriting, and provided linguistic advice.

Additionally, Mark briefly worked as a temporary agency employee at Calibre Recruitment.

Mark Dobson completed their GCSEs (Certificato generale d'istruzione secondaria) at Collingwood College from 1996 to 1998. Mark then pursued their A Levels (Istruzione post-secondaria) in English Literature (A), Media Studies (B), and History (C) at The 6th Form College Farnborough from 1998 to 2000. Following this, Mark Dobson attended the University of Exeter from 2000 to 2003, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Studies (BA English Studies).
