Nick Vancas

Nick Vancas is an experienced technology professional with a robust background in database management and consulting. Currently serving as a Resident Solution Architect at Starburst since July 2022, Vancas previously worked at Actian Corporation as a Principal Consultant for over a decade, specializing in consulting, training, and remote management of Actian's relational databases and big data workflows. Earlier career experience includes co-founding DMT, Inc., where Vancas developed database performance tools, and holding positions as System Manager at Panhandle Eastern Corporation and Consultant at the University of California, Irvine. Vancas holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from The University of Tulsa.
