Raunaq Morarka

Raunaq Morarka is a highly experienced software engineer currently serving as a Staff Software Engineer at Starburst since September 2020 and as a Maintainer at Trino Software Foundation since July 2022. Prior to these roles, Raunaq held positions at Qubole as a Staff Engineer and Member of Technical Staff from November 2017 to September 2020, and at Akamai Technologies as a Senior Software Engineer and System Software Engineer from June 2015 to October 2017. Raunaq began the career at Symantec, progressing from Associate Software Engineer to Software Engineer between July 2012 and June 2015, and completed a brief internship at the Center of Industrial Mathematics at the University of Bremen in May 2011. Raunaq holds a Master's Degree in Mathematics and Computing from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, completed in 2012.
