Matthew James

Matthew James currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer at Starcorp LLC, a position held since May 2024. Prior to this role, Matthew held various senior positions at Western Alliance Bank from April 2012 to May 2024, including Managing Director of Sponsor Finance and Food Franchise Finance and Senior Vice President of Middle Market Lending. Matthew's earlier experience includes serving as Vice President of Middle Market Lending at Comerica Bank from May 2005 to April 2012 and as an Associate/Personal Financial Planning Assistant/Broker at Vanguard from May 2003 to May 2005. Matthew James earned a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Finance from the University of Arizona, completing studies from 1998 to 2002.
