Starehe Boys' Centre & School
Starehe Boys' Centre and School (popularly known as "Starehe") is a partial-board, boys-only school in Nairobi, Kenya. The school was founded in 1959 by Dr. Geoffrey William Griffin, MBS, OBE, Geoffrey Gatama Geturo and Joseph Kamiru Gikubu. It started as a rescue centre. Starehe and Brookhouse School are the only African schools south of the Sahara and north of the Limpopo distinguished as Round Square members. "The Charge" administered by the Founder, Dr. Geoffrey W. Griffin "I Charge you never to forget the great benefits you have received in this place, and in time to come according to your means to do all that you can do to enable others to enjoy the same advantage; and remember that you carry with you, wherever you go, the good name of Starehe. May God Almighty bless you in your ways and keep you in the knowledge of his love now and forever."
