Principal Autonomy Engineer at Starfish Space

Kit Kennedy is a Principal Autonomy Engineer at Starfish Space. Kit has also co-founded Vinci LLC, where they focus on AI/ML, software, hardware, computer vision, brain computer interfaces, and robotics. Kit has also worked as a Fleet Operations and Management Engineer at SpaceX, where they managed on-orbit operations for the Tintin satellites and developed interface to in-house simulation software using gRPC protocol (C++/Python). Prior to their work at SpaceX, Kit was a PhD Graduate Student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where they focused on software and autonomy. Kit has also served as a Fulbright Scholar at the University of Stuttgart and as a Systems Engineer at Jet Propulsion Laboratory.

Kit Kennedy received a Doctor of Philosophy in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2018. Prior to that, they received a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin in 2011. They also spent a year at Universität Stuttgart in 2012-2013 as part of a Fulbright Scholarship.
