Juan Carlos Roldán

Juan Carlos Roldán has been working in the tech industry since 2014. Juan Carlos began as a Substitute Teacher and Researcher at Universidad de Sevilla, where they also completed a PhD candidate role. During their research, they developed tools to extract information from recurrent visual patterns and studied approaches to detect keywords from social media messages. In 2018, they became a Visiting Researcher at the Information Sciences Institute, where they integrated, extended, and tested their information extraction tools in large-scale production environments. In 2020, they became the Co-Founder and CTO of Stargazr, a company that delivers innovative software for modern financial controlling.

Juan Carlos Roldán obtained their Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the Universidad de Sevilla in 2015. Juan Carlos then went on to obtain their Master of Science in Software Engineering from the same institution in 2016. Finally, they earned their Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Software Engineering from the Universidad de Sevilla in 2020. Additionally, they have obtained certifications from NVIDIA, Educational Testing Service (ETS), and Cambridge Assessment. These include Fundamentals of Deep Learning (2022), TOELF iBT 104 (2017), and Certificate in Advanced English (2017).
