Derek Weigel has extensive experience in the banking industry. Derek began their career at Wells Fargo in 2002, where they worked as a Credit Manager/Assistant Branch Manager until 2005. Derek then became a Retail Branch Manager until 2008. Derek then joined Cornerstone Banks, where they held various roles including Retail Branch Manager, Business Banking Officer, AVP - Business Banking Officer, and VP Business Banking Officer from 2008 to 2023. In 2023, Derek joined Starion Bank as a VP Business Banking Officer.
Derek Weigel attended the University of Mary from 1997 to 2002 and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Management.
