Thomas Burns

Thomas Burns is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in the acoustics and hearing technology sectors. Since November 1999, Thomas has served as Senior Principal in Engineering Technology Development at Starkey Hearing Technologies, where a passion for innovative digital platforms and medical device engineering has flourished. Prior experience includes a role as Senior Development Engineer at Shure Incorporated, focusing on acoustic impedance in studio microphones, and consulting for Kirkegaard Associates, which provided exposure to prestigious global projects. Thomas holds multiple degrees in Engineering Acoustics, including a Ph.D. from Penn State University, and furthered expertise with a recent certificate in Data Science and Machine Learning from MIT Schwarzman College of Computing.
