Avi Wigderson

Scientific Advisor at StarkWare Industries

Avi Wigderson is a scientific advisor to StarkWare. Avi is a professor of Mathematics at the Institute for Advanced Study (IAS) in Princeton, and a member of the USA’s National Academy of Sciences since 2013. Wigderson is a recipient of the Nevanlinna Prize (1994), the Gödel Prize (2009), the Knuth Prize (2019) and the Abel Prize (2021).

Wigderson did his undergraduate studies at the Technion (Israel). He received his Ph.D. in 1983 for work in computational complexity under the supervision of Richard Lipton at Princeton. He joined the faculty of the Hebrew University in 1986, and in 2003 took up full-time residence at the IAS.
