Josh Cooke

Josh Cooke is an experienced engineering leader currently serving as the Engineering Lead for Business Banking at Starling Bank since November 2016, where leadership responsibilities include overseeing teams related to Open Banking and various financial technologies. Previously, Josh held the position of Tech Lead in Data Engineering, focusing on ETL pipeline and data warehouse development. Prior to Starling Bank, Josh worked at Barclays Investment Bank, advancing from an Analyst to Assistant Vice President, contributing to the BATS algorithmic trading platform. An early career at Barclays included developing futures connectivity applications, and an internship at Barclays Capital focused on various technologies. Josh holds a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Computer Science from the University of Warwick and achieved A-Levels in Mathematics, Computing, and Physics from Greenhead College.
