Sam Gater

Sam Gater, CFA, currently serves as the Head of Prudential at Starling Bank since March 2023. Previously, Sam held the position of Head of Prudential Regulation at Hampshire Trust Bank from March 2021 to March 2023. A career in prudential regulation began at PwC as a Manager from May 2018 to March 2021, followed by a role as Prudential Risk Senior Analyst at Virgin Money from April 2016 to May 2018. Earlier experience includes working as a Banking Supervisor at the Bank of England from September 2013 to April 2016 and a Summer Analyst at J.P. Morgan in mid-2012. Sam Gater earned a BA in Economics from the University of Leicester, completing the degree in 2013, and attended Malbank School and Sixth Form College from 2002 to 2009.
