Chris Dobbins has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. Chris began their career in the United States Air Force, serving for over 22 years. After retiring from the military in 2004, they transitioned into the public health sector. From 2011 to 2013, Chris served as the Director of the Gaston County Health Department, overseeing budget management and human resource operations. Chris then moved on to the Gaston County Department of Health & Human Services, where they held the position of Director from 2013 to 2020. In this role, Chris demonstrated exceptional leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic. Currently, they hold the position of Chief of Relations & Response at StarMount Healthcare Management, starting in 2021.

Chris Dobbins has a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Human Resource Management from Colorado Christian University, an Associate of Arts (AA) in Criminal Justice from the Community College of the Air Force, and is currently pursuing a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in Public Health - Leadership from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
