Lawrence McTaggart

Lawrence McTaggart, FCAS, is a seasoned actuary with extensive experience in casualty lines pricing and actuarial analytics. Currently serving as the Regional Pricing Actuary at Starr Companies since March 2018, Lawrence oversees pricing for diverse risk sectors, including Construction and Aviation, while supporting profitability analyses and model development. Prior to this role, Lawrence held various senior positions at Liberty Mutual Insurance from 2005 to 2017, where responsibilities included creating predictive modeling datasets and enhancing actuarial reporting. Lawrence's earlier career included positions at GE Capital, Kemper, and John Deere, where leadership and supervision of actuarial teams were prominent. Lawrence holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Illinois State University.
