Rafe Hart

Rafe Hart has extensive work experience in the field of cyber security and IT management. Rafe is currently serving as the Vice President of Security at StarRez, Inc., a position they have held since April 2022. Prior to this, Rafe worked as the Head of Cyber Security at EonX, a fintech company, where they focused on security architecture for a Mastercard payment service and established a security program.

From 2015 to 2021, Rafe held multiple roles at StarRez, Inc., including Head of Cyber Security and Development Manager/Cyber Security Officer. In these positions, they managed risk and cyber security for a scalable and secure SaaS platform, led a team of software engineers, and ensured compliance with technical security standards.

Before joining StarRez, Inc., Rafe worked at SGS as the Manager of IT and Projects. During their time there, they oversaw the integration of their former employer into the company after its acquisition. Prior to SGS, Rafe started their career as a Support Engineer at AAPT.

Rafe's experience spans various industries, including enterprise software, higher education accommodation, and multinational services. Rafe has expertise in security architecture, team management, and compliance with industry standards.

Rafe Hart pursued an MBA (Executive) degree at RMIT University from 2012 to 2014. Rafe obtained several additional certifications throughout their career. In 2011, they became a Certified Systems Administrator (RHCSA) from Red Hat. In 2013, they achieved the SABSA Chartered Architect, Foundation (Enterprise Security) certification from The SABSA Institute. In 2015, they obtained the PRINCE2 Practitioner certification offered by APMG-International. In 2016, they became a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) through (ISC)². In 2017, they attained the Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) certification from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). Additionally, in 2017, they became a Project Management Professional (PMP) certified by the Project Management Institute. In 2019, they obtained the Certified Information Privacy Professional / Europe (CIPP/E) certification from IAPP. Most recently, in 2021, they obtained the FIP (Fellow of Information Privacy) certification from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).
