Alexander Hess

Alexander Hess, PhD, serves as a Business Development Executive at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, focusing on commercialization and partnership creation within the Inertial Fusion Energy portfolio. Previously, Alexander was a Venture Advisor at Starship Ventures, leveraging a technical background in sustainability and clean technologies to evaluate deep tech startups. As a Senior Scientist at TeraPore Technologies, Alexander contributed to bioprocessing innovations, and worked at Cypris Materials on sustainable color solutions. Alexander's experience also includes significant projects at IBM Research in advanced materials development and research roles at esteemed institutions such as the University of Oxford and Trinity College Dublin. Alexander holds a DPhil in Chemistry from the University of Oxford and a BA from Trinity College Dublin.
