Avi Newman

Avi Newman is an accomplished software engineering professional with extensive experience in developing and managing technology solutions. Currently serving as Assistant Director of Software Engineering at Start Early since September 2012, Avi has successfully re-platformed a custom-built SaaS CRM to enhance early childhood intervention programs in Illinois and led significant initiatives to improve legacy applications. Prior experience includes roles as a Team Lead at CCC Information Services, where Avi contributed to the development of the CCC ONE platform, and as a Developer at Optiver, where support was provided for high-frequency trading platforms. Avi also has experience in algorithm development for trading strategies at T3 Capital and contributed to pre-trade analytics systems at Credit Suisse. Education was completed with a BS in Computer Science from the University of Michigan. Additionally, Avi took a sabbatical in 2007 to study yoga and Buddhist texts in India.
