Damien Picard

Damien Picard is a co-founder and CEO of Builtwins BV, a company focused on enhancing building sustainability, comfort, and cost-effectiveness through advanced control systems powered by Artificial Intelligence and Digital Twin technology. With experience as a fellow start-up at Start it Accelerate | @KBC, Damien previously worked as an HVAC designer and head of the Automation Team at STUDIEBUREAU BOYDENS RAYMOND, where responsibilities included the design of HVAC systems for large sustainable buildings and the automation of design calculations. Additionally, Damien served as a postdoctoral researcher at KU Leuven, contributing to software development for optimal building control and supporting the establishment of Builtwins BV. Damien holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Building Construction Technology from KU Leuven.
