Sarah Bonner-Proulx (she/her/elle)

Assistant Vice-President, Corporate Relations at Start Proud

Sarah is an incoming 2L at the Lincoln Alexander School of Law, Toronto Metropolitan University. This summer she is working at Pro Bono Students Canada as a clinical caseworker for their Family Justice Legal Clinic. Sarah was born and raised in northern Manitoba and prior to law school, she completed her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Life Sciences at the University of Manitoba while working full-time as the Vice-President Advocacy for the university's students' union. Sarah has always been drawn to advocacy and client-facing roles, which has led her to pursue roles in various environments, including non-profit organizations, universities and within the provincial and federal government.

Sarah has always been active in her community. She is currently the VP Youth & Local Initiatives on the Institute of International Women's Rights (IIWR) Board of Directors and has served on the University of Manitoba's Board of Governors and Senate. Most recently, Sarah participated in two moots and an innovation "hackathon" where her team won 2nd place across Toronto law schools. Outside of work and school, Sarah loves to hike, train for races, experiment with recipes and explore new places with friends.
