Jitender Aswani

Jitender Aswani has extensive experience in engineering and data roles, having worked at various companies including StarTree, Moveworks, Netflix, Facebook, SAP, Cornerstone Research, and HP.

At StarTree, Jitender currently holds the position of VP, Head of Engineering, where they support the engineering organization in building a distributed cloud-native OLAP database. Jitender is responsible for offering fully managed services to customers and hiring across various teams.

Prior to StarTree, Jitender worked at Moveworks as the Head of Engineering, Insights Products. Here, they led engineering and data science teams in building NLU-powered data products and analytics platforms.

At Netflix, Jitender served as the Head of Data Science and Engineering, Security, Privacy, and Cloud Infra. Jitender led a team focused on large-scale data processing, modeling, and experimentations to improve security and privacy at Netflix.

During their time at Facebook, Jitender was an Engineering Manager and Head of Data for the Core Growth team. Jitender was responsible for building a high-performing engineering team to support user-acquisition efforts and grow Facebook's global user base.

At SAP, Jitender held the position of Vice President, Product Management, Big Data Analytics (Apps & Platform). Jitender received patents related to knowledge graph and application programming framework during their time there.

Before joining SAP, Jitender worked at Cornerstone Research as an Associate, providing strategic and financial advisory services to executive leadership of Global 1000 companies.

Lastly, at HP, Jitender served as an Engineering Manager, Software Architect, and Sr. Software Engineer. Jitender managed a team of software engineers and had leadership responsibilities for a $250 million consumer software portfolio.

Jitender Aswani has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Econometrics, Analytic Finance & Strategy from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Jitender also holds a B.Tech degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University), Varanasi.

In addition to their formal education, Jitender has obtained several certifications. Jitender completed courses on Convolutional Neural Networks, Structuring Machine Learning Projects, Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization!, Neural Networks and Deep Learning, Machine Learning Foundations: A Case Study Approach, and Machine Learning: Regression.
