Katie Furia

Katie Furia has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Katie is currently working as the Head of Events at StarTree since 2022. Previously, they worked at Touch Worldwide from 2013 to 2022, holding various roles including Video Project Director, Associate Project Director, Senior Project Manager, Project Manager, and Associate Project Manager. At Touch Worldwide, they were responsible for managing and producing virtual events, video productions, and digital-media projects for Fortune 500 companies and non-profits. Katie handled tasks such as client meetings, budgeting, scheduling, talent and crew hiring, logistics coordination, and copywriting. Prior to that, they worked at Lakeside School from 2010 to 2013, where they coordinated the Global Service Learning (GSL) program and served as a trip leader for GSL trips. Katie was also involved in event management, logistical planning, and website maintenance. In 2009, they worked as a Climate Change Intern at King County. In 2008, they briefly worked as an Administrative Assistant at AFS Trinity Power. Katie'searliest work experience was as a Future Leaders and Diplomats-in-Training Intern at the University of Washington - Office of the Provost for International Relationships & Protocols in 2007, where they facilitated campus visits for high-profile individuals.

Katie Furia attended the University of Washington’s Henry M. Jackson School of International Studies from 2005 to 2009. During this time, they pursued a Bachelor's Degree in International Studies with a Global Health Track and a minor in Spanish.
