Mike Jackson

Chief Programs Officer at Startup Genome

Mike Jackson has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Mike started their career at MediaStores as the Managing Director and Investor, where they pivoted the business into a media store selling books, CDs, and DVDs. Mike then worked at Ecotricity as a Special Assistant to the Founder before joining Stage Electrics as the Head of Live Events.

In 2012, Mike became the Managing Director of Touch Worldwide's London branch, followed by their role as the Co-founder and Advisor of Bluebell Care Trust, a Bristol-based charity that provided support for parents affected by Perinatal Mental Illness. Mike also founded WebStart Bristol, a startup focused on supporting new ventures.

Mike later joined Shaw & Co. LLP as the Director of Scaleups, and then Tech Nation as the Entrepreneur Success Director. Mike also worked at the Department for Business and Trade as a Dealmaker for the Global Entrepreneur Programme. Currently, Mike is the Chief Programs Officer at Startup Genome.

Mike Jackson attended the University of York from 1981 to 1984, where they obtained a degree in Politics with a specialization in Political Science and Government.
