David H. Nguyen, Ph.D.

David H. Nguyen, Ph.D. has a diverse range of work experience. David is currently a Health Transformer at StartUp Health since March 2022. Prior to this, they were the Co-Founder & CEO of BrainScanology since November 2019. David is also the Founder of Next Level Prep, which offers self-paced online career skills courses and 1-on-1 workshops on biomedical research and data science for high school and college students. Additionally, David has served as the Chair of the Environmental & Medical Fallout Task Force - Aliso Canyon Gas Blowout since June 2018.

David has also been involved in various programs and organizations. David was a Member of Berkeley SkyDeck from October 2020 to March 2021, and a Fellow in the FORM+FUND Tech Startup Program at Berkeley from February 2020 to April 2020. David served as the Editor-in-Chief of Cancer InCytes Magazine from April 2012 to April 2020, where they oversaw content, vision, collaborations, and marketing for the e-magazine focusing on the healthcare needs of disadvantaged populations. In addition, they worked as a Visiting Scholar at Stanford University's Department of Radiology from November 2018 to October 2019, developing image analysis algorithms to improve diagnostics.

Prior to these roles, David had extensive experience in the education field. David worked at ThinkTank Learning, Inc. as a Senior Education Consultant for Premier Services, VIP Education Consultant, Senior Education Consultant, and Education Consultant between 2015 and 2019. David was also a member of the National Association for College Admission Counseling from March 2018 to February 2019.

David H. Nguyen, Ph.D. obtained their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Molecular & Cell Biology from the University of California, Berkeley, between 2001 and 2005. David later pursued their Ph.D. in Endocrinology at the same university from 2006 to 2011.
