Jennifer Hankin has a diverse work experience starting with their role as the Assistant Director of Special Events at Smith School of Business from August 2006 to June 2010. In this position, they successfully planned and managed over 30 annual events, including conferences, alumni and donor receptions, speaker series, and board meetings.
Jennifer then joined the University of Maryland's Dingman Center for Entrepreneurship as the Assistant Director from June 2010 to October 2012. Here, Jennifer oversaw 40 annual events supporting various programs such as business competitions, student venture incubator, and angel investor network. Additionally, they managed the center's operations, including a $1 million budget, development of an annual strategic plan, and support for the Board of Advisors.
Jennifer then moved on to StartUp Health in November 2012 and held multiple roles. Jennifer started as the Director of Events & Programming, where they developed an Expert Community of healthcare industry executives and led all aspects of Academy programming. Jennifer also oversaw the strategy and execution of CEO Summits and managed 25 annual industry events.
In January 2014, Jennifer transitioned to the role of Director of Operations at StartUp Health, where they continued to contribute to the company's growth and success. Finally, in September 2015, they became the Chief of Staff, a position they currently hold.
Jennifer Hankin completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing at the University of Maryland - Robert H. Smith School of Business from 2002 to 2006. Jennifer then pursued a Master of Tourism Administration with a focus on Event and Meeting Management at The George Washington University School of Business from 2007 to 2009.
