Shaun Johnson has a wide range of work experience in the technology and entrepreneurship industries. In 2021, they became Codirector of Tachyon, an accelerator for early-stage startups utilizing blockchain and Web 3.0 technologies, and Venture Partner at Republic, an investment platform spun out of AngelList. Shaun also became Codirector of ConsenSys Mesh in 2021. In 2020, Johnson became a Board Member of the NY Tech Alliance, a nonprofit organization that fosters the technology community and ecosystem. In 2019, Johnson joined Venwise as a Leader and became an Adjunct Professor of Entrepreneurship at Parsons School of Design - The New School. In 2018, they were Operations at Blockgraph. Johnson began their career in 2012 as a Cofounder of Startup Institute, an immersive education program for the innovation economy.

Shaun Johnson obtained a Master of Science in Information Systems and Leadership Development from The Johns Hopkins University between 2008 and 2010. Shaun also obtained a Bachelors Degree in a dual major of Computer Science and Sociology from Georgetown University between 2003 and 2007. Additionally, they are certified as a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) from the International Association of Privacy Professionals, a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)², and an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) from the New York State Department of Health.
