Cameron Teitelman

Founder & Chairman at StartX

Cameron Teitelman is the Founder and Chairman of StartX, a Stanford-affiliated accelerator for startups. Cameron is also a founding team member of Accelon Capital, and has served as the General Manager of SSE Ventures.

Teitelman's experience in startups began in 1999 when they were cast as Gavroche in Les Miserables. After their run in the musical ended in 2001, Teitelman shifted their focus to the business world. In 2009, they joined the founding team at Accelon Capital, where they helped lead all infrastructure development. Cameron also participated in management negotiations, which led to the search fund's acquisition of United Layer.

In 2010, Teitelman left Accelon Capital to become the General Manager of SSE Ventures at Stanford Student Enterprises. In this role, they oversaw a venture capital investment fund that invested in top Stanford student entrepreneurs. Cameron remained in this position until December 2010, when they founded StartX.

As StartX's Chairman, Teitelman is responsible for overseeing investment vehicles and the admissions process. Under their leadership, StartX has helped over 1,000 companies raise over $1 billion in funding.

Cameron Teitelman pursued a Bachelor of Science in Management Science and Engineering at Stanford University. Afterwards, they studied abroad at Stanford in Florence.
