Jim Benton is an accomplished entrepreneur and leader with extensive experience in the technology and sales sectors. Currently serving as the founder and lead mentor at StartX since February 2024, Benton is focused on accelerating Stanford's top entrepreneurs through experiential education, particularly in AI and transformative technologies. Previously, Benton held the position of CEO at Chorus.ai, a leading conversation intelligence platform, and served as the acquired CEO at ZoomInfo following its acquisition of Chorus. Additional roles include leadership positions at Apollo.io, Color Genomics, OneSignal, ClearSlide, AdBrite, and Ticketmaster, where Benton significantly contributed to revenue growth, product development, and strategic partnerships. Benton holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Santa Clara University.
