Khatereh Khodavirdi

Khatereh Khodavirdi serves on the Board of Advisors at StartX since 2023 and holds the position of VP of Data Science, Analytics & AIML Recommendations at PayPal since July 2018. Responsibilities at PayPal include leading data teams responsible for 80% of the company's revenue, including Venmo, Honey, and Braintree. Prior roles at PayPal include Vice President of Data Science, Analytics & AIML Recommendations and Sr. Director of Data Science, Analytics and Machine Learning. In addition to PayPal, Khatereh is currently VP of Data Science, Analytics & AI Recommendation Products at Venmo and VP of Data Science, Analytics & AIML at Honey. Khatereh also serves as Head of Data Science at Braintree and has held roles at Reforge, First Round Capital, and the Bay Area Council. As an educator, Khatereh teaches monetization strategies at Reforge and has instructed courses at Stanford University. Khatereh holds a Master’s degree in System Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and multiple degrees from UCLA, including Statistics and Risk Analysis, while being a PhD student in Statistics/Engineering.
