Christian Martin-Gill

Christian Martin-Gill has extensive work experience in the field of emergency medicine and emergency medical services (EMS). Christian has been working at UPMC since 2005, starting as an Emergency Medicine Resident and later becoming an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine. Christian has held roles such as Associate Program Director and Program Director of the EMS Fellowship, Chief of the Division of EMS, and Medical Command Physician. Additionally, they have served as an Associate Medical Director at STAT MedEvac and UPMC Prehospital Care. Christian has also worked as an Emergency Medicine Physician at UPMC Mercy Hospital and UPMC St Margaret Hospital.

Christian Martin-Gill has an extensive education history in the medical and public health fields. Christian obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry with Distinction, focusing on Biochemistry & Psychology, from the University of Virginia in 2001. In 2005, they completed their Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Virginia School of Medicine.

Christian then pursued further education in the field of public health, earning a Master of Public Health degree in Emergency Preparedness and Disaster Response from the University of Pittsburgh School of Public Health in 2010. In the same year, they also obtained medical licenses in the states of West Virginia and Ohio.

Additionally, Christian has obtained various certifications throughout their career. In 1999, they became a Nationally Registered Paramedic, certified by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians. Christian later received a Medical License from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in 2007 and a Flight Paramedic - Certified certification from the Board for Critical Care Transport Paramedic Certification in 2012.

Their dedication to emergency medicine is highlighted by their certifications in Emergency Medical Services from the American Board of Emergency Medicine, obtained in 2013, and Emergency Medicine from the same institution in 2009. Furthermore, Christian acquired a Medical License from the State of Maryland in 2011, rounding out their credentials in the medical field.
