Tsotne Kavlashvili

Tsotne Kavlashvili is a seasoned financial professional currently serving as a General Auditor at the State Audit Office of Georgia since September 2022. Prior to this role, Tsotne held significant positions within the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, including Deputy Minister and Head of State Treasury from June 2015 to September 2022, as well as Head of State Treasury from January 2013 to September 2022. Tsotne's earlier experience includes leadership roles in the Fiscal Forecasting and Budget Departments within the Ministry of Finance from October 2008 to January 2013. Tsotne holds a Master’s degree in Banking, Finance, and Insurance, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Banking and Finance, both obtained from Tbilisi State University, Georgia.

The SAO represents the modern, independent and successful audit institution with the highest professional standards, the interference in the activity of which is prohibited by the law. With its work SAO supports the parliament in overseeing the activities of the government and significantly contributes to the Parliamentary oversight over the government.
