Karla Lauer

Karla Lauer, MBA, is an accomplished IT leader with extensive experience in information technology management in higher education. Currently serving as the AVP of Information Technology at the State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota, since January 2016, Karla provides operational and technical leadership for IT Services supporting over 10,000 students and 800 employees. Before this role, Karla was the Director of IT Services at St. John's University and The College of St. Benedict, where a focus was placed on academic technology and faculty support. Early career experience includes a role as a Senior Business Analyst for the Software Products Division at Bankers Systems. Karla holds an MBA in Management Information Systems from St. Cloud State University and a Bachelor's degree in Finance from the University of St. Thomas.
