EVP Policy Business Segments at State Compensation Insurance Fund

Paula Clarkson, CPCU, CIC, CRIS has extensive work experience in the insurance industry. Paula started their career at Nationwide in 2000, holding various positions until 2007. During this time, they also served as the Director of the Program Management Office. From 2009 to 2011, they worked as the Director of Personal Lines Underwriting. In 2011, they joined Nationwide Insurance as the AVP of Middle Market Underwriting, a role they held for eight years. Currently, they are the Sr. Vice President of Specialty and Middle Market Operations at State Compensation Insurance Fund since 2019.

Paula Clarkson attended Simpson College from 1996 to 1999, where they studied Management. Paula later obtained various certifications, including CPCU in Good Standing from The Institutes in December 2020, WCIRB CompEssentials Certified from WCIRB California in August 2020, and Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist from the International Risk Management Institute, Inc. (IRMI) in 2015.
