Tommy Luong has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Tommy started their career at the Hilton San Francisco Fisherman's Wharf as a Human Resource Coordinator/Property Accountant, where they managed union benefits and conducted interviews. Tommy then worked at IBM as a Worldwide Customer Volume Planner, strategizing supply and demand requirements for HDD products. After that, they joined BayCal Financial as a Loan Consultant, providing financial advice to clients. Tommy later joined the State Compensation Insurance Fund, where they held multiple roles including Senior Marketing Analyst and Information Officer, Marketing Business Communications Unit. Prior to their current position as Senior Vice President, Regional Operations - Greater Bay Area at State Compensation Insurance Fund, Tommy worked at CAMICO Mutual Insurance Company as a Business Development Manager and Business Strategist. Overall, Tommy has experience in marketing, business development, strategic planning, and financial consulting.
Tommy Luong received their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree with a concentration in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services from Notre Dame de Namur University, where they attended from 2015 to 2017. Prior to that, they earned their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English Language and Literature, General from the University of California, Davis, where they studied from 1995 to 1999.
