Emma Hayes

Emma Hayes is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in learning and development, diversity, and organizational culture. As Chief Learning & Development Officer, Chief Learning and Engagement Officer, and Chief Culture Officer at SECU from March 2022 to May 2025, Emma contributed significantly to fostering employee growth. Currently serving as Chief Diversity Officer at the African American Credit Union Coalition since June 2020, Emma advocates for diversity and inclusion. Prior roles include Director of Learning and Development and Instructional Designer at Local Government Federal Credit Union (January 2015 - March 2022), as well as SAP Instructional Designer/Trainer at DOT (January 2007 - December 2014), where Emma focused on technical training material development. Emma also managed a team of technical writers at the Administrative Office of the Courts from January 2005 to December 2007. Emma holds a degree from North Carolina State University, attained between January 1992 and December 1997.
