Colin Planalp

Colin Planalp currently serves as a Senior Research Fellow at the Cannabis Research Center, focusing on the public health implications of cannabis policy in Minnesota and the U.S. Since March 2014, Colin has held dual roles as Associate Director for Emerging Health Policy Issues and Senior Research Fellow at the State Health Access Data Assistance Center (SHADAC), providing technical assistance on health care reform, health equity, and addressing issues such as the opioid crisis and rising suicide and alcohol-related death rates. Previously, from September 2007 to March 2014, Colin worked in various public relations capacities at the University of Missouri Health Care, managing internal communications and engaging with media. Colin holds a Master of Public Affairs and a Bachelor of Journalism, both from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
