Bettye Thomas-Gilkey, M.A., is a dedicated educator and volunteer with extensive experience in academic support and counseling. Currently serving as a Teacher at Buckhead Preparatory School, LLC since December 2022, Bettye has also been a Volunteer College Advisor at CareerVillage.org since February 2019. As a published author with "Their Time Is Up!" and "The White Purse," Bettye contributes to educational literature while managing educational programs through Academic Enrichment Tutoring since February 1986. Previous roles include Academic Tutor at University Tutors, AIS Instructor for the Ronald McNair Trio Program at Morehouse College, and Special Education Paraprofessional at Lansing School District, where assistance was provided in diverse educational settings. With a strong educational background that includes multiple degrees in counseling, early childhood education, and human resources management, Bettye continues to advance in the field of social work, currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Social Work at The University of Georgia, expected completion in May 2024.
