Sally Irvin, PhD, is the founder and past executive director of the Indiana Canine Assistant Network (ICAN), where expertise in training service dogs for individuals with disabilities and providing life skills training to incarcerated adults has been demonstrated. With a career spanning over two decades at ICAN since 2002, Sally has significantly contributed to developing programs that impact both the disabled community and rehabilitation efforts. Additionally, Sally served as the interim executive director for Assistance Dogs International from March 2016 to September 2017 and held academic positions at Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business, focusing on curriculum development and communication training. Previously, experience as the director of behavioral science at Community Hospital involved teaching crucial communication skills to resident physicians. Sally earned a PhD in Psychology from Purdue University in 1990.
