Andrew Hartnett

Andrew Hartnett is a seasoned professional in the fields of securities, financial services, and regulation. Currently serving as Deputy Commissioner at the Iowa Department of Insurance & Financial Services since June 2019, Andrew also previously held the role of Assistant Commissioner, directing the Securities and Regulated Industries Bureau. Prior experience includes positions as an Officer at Greensfelder, Hemker & Gale, P.C., focusing on Securities and Financial Services Litigation and Regulation, and as Commissioner of Securities at the Missouri Secretary of State's Office, where Andrew directed the Missouri Securities Division. Andrew's legal career began at the Missouri Attorney General's Office as Chief of Staff and Assistant Attorney General, specializing in consumer protection and antitrust issues. Andrew holds a Master's degree from New York University in French Studies, a Doctor of Law (JD) from Saint Louis University, and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in French from The Catholic University of America.
