Justin Chenette

Justin Chenette is an accomplished leader with extensive experience in communications, public relations, and public service. Currently serving as the Chief Communications Officer at Sweetser, Justin oversees external and internal communications and public relations aimed at enhancing the organization's image and program reach. Additionally, Justin is a County Commissioner for York County, focusing on fiscal operations and policy governance. With a background in advocacy for public access and transparency as a member of the Right to Know Advisory Committee, and as a founder of the Amplify Maine Consulting firm and the Chenette Scholarship Fund, Justin demonstrates a strong commitment to community engagement and youth empowerment. Past roles include State Senator and State Representative, recognized as the youngest openly gay legislator in the U.S., and various leadership positions in nonprofit organizations and educational initiatives. Justin holds degrees in Public Administration and Broadcast News, complemented by an Executive Certificate in Public Leadership from Harvard Kennedy School.
